Bharatiya Sangeetha Sangham
Bhartiya Sangeetha Sangham (BSS Montreal) is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1979 by the South Indian community to promote, preserve, and cultivate ancient Indian classical art forms in Quebec.
BSS is committed to nurturing ancient art forms such as dance, music, poetry, folklore, yoga, and meditation, ensuring they remain relevant and beneficial in modern society. Music evokes unique emotions in individuals, with each note carrying the depth of an ocean.
By introducing a variety of arts, sounds, and movements, BSS aims to help people develop life skills and discover inner peace, strength, and a sense of timelessness.
Driven by the mission to harmonize and unite souls through music, BSS continually strives to revive, preserve, and transform these ancient art forms.
The organization also seeks to bridge the gap with Western classical art forms, making these traditions more relevant, engaging, and enjoyable for children, youth, artists, and art enthusiasts alike.
BSS is supported by dedicated volunteers from various backgrounds and professions, all working towards the vision of fostering a society rich in artistic and musical culture.
The organization invites everyone to participate in and enjoy the wide range of events and activities it offers, contributing to a shared artistic experience.
